The Giants began their Post-Plax Period on Wednesday, preparing for Sunday's game against Philadelphia at Giants Stadium, where they'll try to clinch the NFC East without their star wide receiver.
Plaxico Burress, of course, was suspended for the final four games and then placed on the Non-Football Injury list, ending his season. He is not eligible to play, practice or take part in post-season games.
Burress' suspension stemmed from a self-inflicted gunshot wound he suffered early Saturday morning at a nightclub in Manhattan. He had been carrying a loaded Glock semi-automatic revolver in his pants pocket and it accidentally discharged, sending a bullet into his right thigh.
