The Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday re-signed tight ends Anthony Becht and Stephen Spach to one-year contracts and announced defensive end Jeremy Clark has signed an exclusive rights contract with the team. The 6-foot-6 Becht had seven catches for 61 yards and one touchdown last season, his first with Arizona.

The opening 48 hours of free agency had a dramatic impact on the Cardinals two-time defending NFC West champion roster.

Gone are three starters: wide receiver Anquan Boldin, outside linebacker Karlos Dansby and free safety Antrel Rolle. The team stopped the bleeding a little bit by dealing a fourth- (2010) and seventh-round (2011) pick to the Jets for Kerry Rhodes.

"He fits a lot of the things that we do defensively," Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said in a statement, "and the prospect of having him alongside a perennial All-Pro like Adrian Wilson is very exciting."

The Boldin era in Arizona came to a close with the receiver being traded to Baltimore on Friday in exchange for third- and fourth-round picks.
