Ken Dorsey has not started an NFL game in more than three years. That streak will end Sunday when he leads the slumping Browns into Nashville against the 11-1 Titans.

Dorsey was 2-8 as a starter with the 49ers. Coincidentally, Dorsey's last start was against the Titans on Nov. 27, 2005, as a quarterback with San Francisco.

The Browns traded Trent Dilfer to the 49ers on May 4, 2006, for Dorsey and a seventh-round draft choice in 2007.

"I'm going to work hard for the guys in this locker room and the city of Cleveland," Dorsey said. "There's no doubt every time I step onto the field I'm going to give everything I have."

Dorsey will not have former Miami Hurricane teammate Kellen Winslow as a target Sunday.

Browns quarterback Brady Quinn had two pins surgically inserted into his broken right index finger on Wednesday and said he hopes to begin throwing once they are removed next month. "In six weeks, once the pins are out, then we'll start to do a minor rehab program," Quinn said on a conference call. "I should be able to throw sometime soon after that." His future in doubt, Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage is moving ahead with plans for 2009 without knowing if he'll be around to see them through. Savage, who has come under added scrutiny since sending a profane e-mail to a fan a few weeks ago, said Wednesday he hopes to return next season.
